Our Mission
Bridging the Gap Between Law Enforcement and Community
Cop Chats was created with a simple but powerful belief: when law enforcement and community members sit down together for real, honest conversations, trust grows. That trust changes lives — and communities.
Through mentorship programs, school outreach, career coaching, and community events, we work every day to make those conversations happen — for youth, families, aspiring officers, and the organizations that serve them.

Meet the Founder
Clay Colley
Founder & Lead Mentor
Clay Colley is a 13-year law enforcement veteran whose career has spanned some of the most demanding and impactful roles in public safety. As a School Resource Officer, he saw firsthand how meaningful relationships between officers and students could transform a school's culture. As a former FBI Violent Crimes & Gang Task Force Officer, he understands the stakes of community safety at the highest level.
A criminal investigator, K-9 handler, Federal Task Force Officer, and dedicated youth sports coach, Clay founded Cop Chats to take everything he learned in the field and put it to work in the community — not through enforcement, but through education, mentorship, and honest conversation.
His mission is simple: give young people access to the kind of guidance and perspective that can change the trajectory of their lives, and give communities the tools to build genuine trust with the officers who serve them.
